It’s hard to believe that another season at Ski Rider is over. Season 2017 was definitely one to remember. Once again, our guests were welcomed into the fold of the Ski Rider family. Snow memories were created riding the mountain skiing and boarding at Perisher and enjoying the hospitality back at Ski Rider.
Early in 2017 we offered our guests the opportunity to lock their holiday in at 2016 rates, with our Price Freeze Deal. We also introduced the 50% off Peak Season Deal to July & August rates. Those who took advantage of these amazing deals were not sorry. 2017 saw the Blizzard of Oz Part 1.0, 2.0 & 3.0!!! Some of our lucky guests were able to experience all three Blizzards as they just couldn’t stay away from Ski Rider. The snow was THAT good!!
Fresh Snow & then sunny days were the envy of snow lovers who didn’t book a holiday in 2017
The free Ski Rider shuttle buses were perfect to take guests to and from Perisher & Smiggins – especially as the snow kept falling. We were all safe in the knowledge that Mick, Tobias & Talbot were available to transport us up the mountain, sometimes even with the bonus of lollies – thanks Talbot.
Entertainment in 2017 continued to be amazing. Comedian’s on Wednesday nights provided laughs for those looking for a midweek chuckle….. and speaking of the Blizzard of Oz ……. During our Magic show on Tuesday nights, our astonishing Magician made it snow INSIDE.
Ski Rider staff & guests alike delighted in the opportunity to become a Myth or Legend during the inaugural fancy dress party night. The only question – Where was Wally?

In early 2017, Ski Rider sent two lucky prize winners off to Sun Peaks Resort. Billy & Chantel spent seven incredible days in Canada, compliments of Ski Rider. We know they loved Sun Peaks and we’re sure they love Ski Rider equally so.

During the season we ran several promotions with sort after prizes. These included surfboards & snowboards. Congratulations to long time returning guest Jenny O’Brien. Jenny walked away with a brand new board.

Another returning guest Amos Lowe made the most of the incredible snow conditions. Several Ski Rider Staff members enjoyed cheering for Amos when he competed at Perisher in Alpine racing.

There was so much to enjoy at Ski Rider during Winter 2017. Although it was a slower start to the season, it certainly finished with a bang. Megan, from Reception and Dave our Ski Hire Manager welcomed twin baby boys early in October, and there is still snow on the ground in the back country!
Some of us are still enjoying time out there in our beautiful high country. If you can’t stop dreaming of your next snow holiday at Ski Rider NOW is the time to book. Our rates are frozen at 2017 prices (book by November 30th).
