Never long enough, always exciting, this snow season of 2014 has delivered way above what we expected and left skiers and boarders craving more.

From all the staff at Ski Rider we would like to extend a very appreciative ‘thank you’ to all our guests and seasonal staff that helped make this year another great season. Here are some of our highlights of winter 2014 and information on 2015 season passes and early bird rates to get you snow ready for next year.

Who can forget the bumper snowfall?

With over two metres of snow falling in a two week period, Perisher Ski Resort reported that 2014 has been “one of the best in decades in terms of snow depth and consistency”.

Due to great snow falls Perisher is extending their snow season till October 10th. (Note: Ski Rider closed for the season on Friday 26th September).

Opening of the Freedom Quad Chairlift

The new $4 million Freedom Quad Chairlift at Guthega opened for the 2014 winter season and enabled skiers and boarders to access more groomed and off-piste runs. Skier Jeremy Martin tried out the new chair this season and loved it “it frees up all the t-bars so you get more skiing in. Less people means more ski time”. Thumbs up!

Happy guests at Ski Rider speak out on Tripadvisor

Jaqui Amber, a guest at Ski Rider in September 2014 wrote – “I will not go anywhere else. I have now stayed at Ski Rider twice. It’s located in a nice quiet spot, with tidy rooms. The main area has everything you could want. The food- amazing! … The staff are so friendly. Great with kids too. Even when they are not on duty they are so helpful. The shuttle bus makes everything hassle free. The kicker- the low price. You won’t get this level of service for such a low price anywhere else. I look forward to coming back in the next couple of years.”

SJMCCAMM also reviewed Ski Rider in September 2014 and wrote – “Holiday for the mums in the family, no cooking or cleaning just relaxing and skiing. Have the staff organise lift and lessons at Perisher and streamline your holiday into one package. We’ve just done our 6th year running at Ski Rider, and we now bring more and more families with us each year. Great Staff. Great Food, always happy to assist – just ask.”
